MikroTik WiFi Monetization FAQ

Ez a tartalom még nem érhető el a jelenlegi nyelven.

Summary Quick answers to the most common questions about setting up and running WiFi Monetization — getting started, enabling Pix, designing the captive portal, linking devices, using bridge mode, codes and plans, and data and speed limits. Each answer links to the full guide.

What do I need to start using WiFi Monetization? A MikroTik running RouterOS, already adopted into MKController, and an ADVANCED-tier plan that includes the feature. No public IP or port forwarding is required — the router connects over an encrypted outbound tunnel. See the onboarding guide.
How do I configure and start using it? Follow six guided steps: enable WiFi Monetization and create a voucher, link a MikroTik, design the captive portal, create a plan or a batch of codes, turn on a payment method, and test as a guest before going live. The onboarding guide walks through each one.
Is WiFi Monetization the same as the old Voucher feature? Yes. It is the rebuilt and renamed version of the feature formerly called Voucher — same voucher-code and captive-portal core, plus online plans, Pix and card payments, Point of Sale, and payouts.
How do I link a MikroTik device? Open the Devices section of your voucher and run the deploy wizard: choose the interface, set the subnet (default 10.31.42.1/24), and let it configure the hotspot, RADIUS, DHCP, and walled garden. Full guide: Link a MikroTik Device.
Can I use other access points together in bridge mode? Yes. As long as the extra access points are configured as bridges and not routers, a single voucher works across all of them. Group them into a bridge on the MikroTik and link the hotspot to that bridge interface. If a secondary access point runs in router mode, the hotspot cannot authenticate its guests.
What happens if I unlink a device? Unlinking removes the hotspot and RADIUS configuration MKController deployed. The router keeps working; it simply stops serving that captive portal until you link it again.
How do I create and use the Builder to design my captive portal? Open the Builder section and add your logo, welcome message, terms, and an optional marketing image, then choose which guest details to collect. A live preview shows every screen, and "test as a guest" lets you walk the full flow before publishing. Full guide: Design Your Captive Portal.
Do I need to know any code to customize the login page? No. The Builder is fully visual, with an instant live preview.
What languages does the captive portal support? Portuguese, Spanish, and English, detected automatically from the guest's device.
How do I set up ("save") a Pix so guests can pay me? In your voucher's Payment Methods, turn on Pix and enter your CPF or CNPJ. Guests then pay by Pix on the portal and connect immediately. To actually receive the money, verify your Pix key and fiscal document in Payout. Pix carries a default 5% platform fee and is Brazil-only. Full guide: Receive Pix Payments.
Which payment methods can guests use? Pix (Brazil), credit or debit card and mobile money through your own Stripe, Asaas, or M-Pesa account, WhatsApp arranged with a seller, or cash at a Point of Sale reseller. See Configure Payment Gateways.
Can guests pay for access directly on the captive portal? Yes. Guests choose "buy online," pick a plan, and pay by Pix, card, or WhatsApp — no need for you to be present.
How do I get paid, and are there refunds? Verify your Pix key and fiscal document in Payout; your net Pix earnings build as a balance that is paid out to that key. Payouts are processed manually, and there is no in-product refund — handle refunds with your payment provider. See Get Paid — Payout & Financeiro.
What is the difference between single-use and multi-use codes? Single-use allows one device at a time per code; multi-use lets several devices share the same code. You choose per batch when you create the codes.
Can I print or download voucher codes as a PDF? Yes. Open the batch, select Print Batch, and choose Print Directly or Save as PDF to distribute the codes as cards.
Can I set both a time and a data limit? Or data only? Yes to both. You can combine time and data limits (the session ends at whichever comes first), or set a data cap with no time limit for data-only access — ideal for satellite links. See Set Data & Speed Limits.
Can I limit the connection speed per plan? Yes. Set a speed limit when you create a batch or plan — useful for fair use on shared and satellite connections.
Can I edit a plan after creating it? You can change the price and pause, resume, or delete a plan. To change the duration, data, or speed, create a new plan. See Create & Sell Online Plans.
Where do I see active sessions and revenue? The Dashboard shows revenue, codes used, and online sales for any period, with breakdowns by plan and batch. The Realtime tab shows who is connected right now and lets you disconnect, contact, or move a guest onto a plan.
Does one voucher work across several MikroTiks? Yes. Link as many MikroTiks as you need to the same voucher; each shows its own online status in the Devices section.
