What are the options for accessing my MikroTik router remotely through MKController? MKController offers two main ways to access your MikroTik router remotely. You can use the “Remote Access” option directly on the web platform, which utilizes the MikroTik WebFig interface. Alternatively, for users who prefer Winbox, access can be integrated through our dedicated desktop applications (Windows, macOS, Linux) and Android mobile devices. Both options ensure secure and convenient access to your equipment.
Does MKController guarantee the security of my network data? Yes, the security of your data is a top priority at MKController. We implement robust and advanced security practices to protect all information that transits and is stored on our platform. We use encryption and follow strict protocols to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of your network data.
How does MKController monitor my MikroTik devices? Monitoring in MKController is performed through the official MikroTik API. We collect essential data about the performance and health of your router, including CPU usage, memory consumption, available disk space, and, on compatible models, the device temperature. This information is clearly presented on our platform, allowing you to track the status of your equipment in real-time.
What happens when a router managed by MKController goes offline? If one of your MikroTik routers loses connection and goes offline, the MKController platform will visually indicate the status as “Offline” on the dashboard. Additionally, we will automatically send a notification to the email address registered in your account. To receive alerts even faster, you can configure integration with Telegram and receive notifications directly in the app.
Does MKController offer automatic backup functionality for MikroTik routers? Yes, MKController facilitates the protection of your configurations with two automatic backup options. The first is the “Binary Backup,” which creates a complete copy of the router’s state, allowing for a quick and full restoration on the same device. The second option is the “Configuration Backup (Export),” which saves only the MikroTik configuration commands in text format. This type of backup is more flexible, as it can be used to apply the same settings to other MikroTik devices, even if they are different models.
